By Kate Hickman, Head of Global Communications
At Cerence, we are always looking for opportunities to shine a spotlight on the countless stories from across our global teams. Recently, we had a chance to sit down with Edward Kim, our sales manager in Japan who is always keeping our customers at the forefront.
What’s your favorite thing about working at Cerence?
My favorite thing about working at Cerence is the cooperative and supportive company culture. Within that culture, I can learn so much about other people's expertise.
Do you have a favorite moment from your time at Cerence?
My favorite moment at Cerence is when we were successfully awarded the program for a high-profile Japanese OEM. This was due to the entire team’s dedication and effort over 1 ½ years, so it was incredibly rewarding to see our effort pay off.
In what ways do you feel encouraged to grow in your career at Cerence?
First, the company commits to continued innovation and growth. Secondly, the opportunity to expand into other markets for new customers. We have the core technology in the automotive industry, and I believe that we can leverage that technology into new markets and with new customers.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
I normally spend time with my family and friends. I also enjoy outdoor sports, like soccer. And I like watching movies that can inspire me.
